This is an American version of Perfect Blue.
Sadly, I don't think people realized that the way it revealed the madness within felt very unstructured. Even the madness was unstructured. I don't know about others but I believe even the most chaotic elements of a film should have structure. This all felt arbitrary.
You're better off watching any Satoshi Kon film than this pretentious "mindfuck" film that is really mindfucking because it doesn't seem to be telling much when it appears to be doing so.
