Review of Black Swan (2010) by Sean P — 26 Feb 2014
I am not even sure what to say about this movie. It's awesome. And it fits quite well into the Aronofsky canon as one of those depressing psychological dramas. It is, however, hardly a horror film.
So don't watch it for scares. It's a bit deeper and more disturbing than that. It's a character sketch of innocence as it slowly becomes tainted, and, ultimately, overcome by darkness. There's a few layers to this film, and demonstrates why Aronofsky is such a genius.
