You will be dead but you will be alive in death.

A witch is killed in a town and swears a curse on the men that try to burn her alive. A tragic event occurs and the curse remains on the town. When a descendant of the witch moves into an old family home, the spirit of the witch returns and leads a vampire invasion. Can the family of the witch stop the vampires?

"The sun will reach into the darkest corners and scare the thing in the shadows into the light.".

Mario Bava, director of A Bay of Blood; The Evil Eye; Kill Baby, Kill; Black Sabbath, Lust of the Vampire, and Hercules & Hercules Unchained, delivers Black Sunday. The storyline for this picture is actually fairly entertaining and well paced. The acting is also fairly solid and the cast includes Barbara Steele, John Richardson, and Andrea Checchi.

"My eyes aren't tired. My spirit is.".

I have been watching the Mario Bava films off Netflix and this is actually my favorite one. The storyline is very well paced and the horror elements have a classic eerie feel. I recommend this film if you're a fan of the classics.

"May God have pity on her soul.".

Grade: B.
