Weird and wonderful Powell and Pressburger - the tension of suppressed desire builds as nuns trying to turn a harem into a convent are beset with setback after setback whilst battling to resist temptation themselves.
Kathleen Byron steals the film as the increasingly crazed Sister Ruth.
