Review of Black Narcissus (1947) by Alec B — 18 Dec 2015
Beautiful photography, make-up, and a good story. It feels however too dated for me. The dialogues, the acting, the locations, even the make-up (Western people with painted skin to look foreign.....) are not realistic enough for someone used to modern standards.
It's still an important piece in the history of the Cinema, and therefore the 4 stars.
