Review of Black Narcissus (1947) by David L — 24 Aug 2014
It is rather slow and lacks focus at first, but Black Narcissus is another remarkable film from the directors of magnificent The Red Shoes thanks to solid acting, great imagery and thrilling ending, but most of all thanks to truly groundbreaking Technicolor which is lush and artistic and intriguing story and approach which is relevant, sexual, erotic and way ahead of its time.
It is a flawed, but also innovative and quite honestly one of a kind experience.
