Review of Black Death (2010) by Paul P — 06 Mar 2011
An interesting medieval flick.
The story is pretty unusual and covers such lofty subjects as religion and belief whilst chucking in the bubonic plague. The cast are pretty good with Sean Bean leading the proceedings nicely. The dude playing the young monk is a little weak at times but gets better towards the end.
What the film does have in its favour is a nice line in gore and violence towards the end. The overal feel of the film and the settings also add a great deal. Overall, this is generally well made and quite watchable.
