Review of Black Death (2010) by Dean P — 26 Nov 2012
There were aspects of this story I liked - particularly the story arc of the protagonist. The main plot was also quite compelling, so the writing for this film was not bad at all. But alas, there's just too little finesse in the delivery of the final product.
My two greatest pet peeves concern the over-use of the dang shaky camera and poor ole Sean Bean who has managed to get typecasted yet again. I mean, he is starting to get to become a parody of himself, as my first thought when I saw him was "how is he going to die horribly this time?" Moreover, the delivery of the finale was quite rushed and broke my suspension of disbelief.
So the end result is a bit of a meh.
