Review of Black Christmas (2006) by Chris S — 19 Dec 2010

Some good young actresses in this one and the artistic filming gives this one cred. I like how Christmasy they make it. Unfortunately it falls much shorter in success overall compared to the original. This one adds a background to the killer, which increases the disturbing factor, while decreasing the appreciation for the film.

I am not interested in how the killer became so deranged, I just want a good classic thriller, but this became a slasher with all the stuff from the original done less successfully and crowded amoungst the disturbing story-line of the killer(s).
