Review of Birthday Girl (2001) by Ken B — 20 Aug 2005

I taped this one and held on to it in my DVR until I needed something to watch. My mother and sister were here for the weekend so we decided to give it a go...and we weren't disappointed. The story is about a routined, "good" guy (Ben Chaplin from The Truth About Cats & Dogs) who orders a bride from Russia.

..and she (Nicole Kidman) turns out to be nothing like what he wanted, asked for, or imagined. The twists and turns are unexpected, funny, and poignant. I recommend this one...but I doubt I'll ever watch it again.
