This is a gripping and visually brilliant black comedy with an outstanding performance from Michael Keaton. The film gives a deep and painfully honest portrayal of the nature of stardom and fame, as well as the growing fear of irrelevancy that we all face.

Michael Keaton was magnetic. I can't work out why he didn't win an Oscar. He deserved it! The rest of the cast were also brilliant- Emma Stone, Edward Norton and Zach Galifinakis were just a few of the mesmerising performances in the film.

The cinematography was excellent. The only real gripe is that some of it was a bit hard to understand- I became a little confused about which parts were real and which parts were the main character's hallucinations.

Still, it was a brilliant and often funny film that truly deserved the Best Picture Oscar. Overall, a great movie.
