A very enjoyable classic. while it seems like a very unlikely story to write about (a convict who spends most his life in alcatraz becomes a world famous bird scientist), it is an apparently true story, making it all the more interesting.
burt lancaster does an exceptional acting job as always, and makes this film worth watching.
