I cannot speak to the accuracy of this film. From a performance and direction perspective it is marvelous. This is not the Lancaster generally seen on film. Another terrific collaberation between Lancaster and Frankenheimer.
Also watch for Thelma Ritter, Karl Malden, Edmond O'Brien, and Telly Savalas.
