Review of Big Jake (1971) by Adam H — 19 Jan 2010
People should realize how much this movie is the basis of storylines in so many movies after it. The way the story plays out, the dialogue between good guys and bad guys, the suspense and action. If you can at least judge it with a grain of salt based on the year it was made, then it is really easy to compare to so many other action movies that came after it, from "the Itallian Job" to "Mission Impossible" and so many others.
Loyalty to the group, revenge, family bonding, high-stakes criminal activity, and all-around basic storyline that are the fundamentals of others to come.
