Review of Big Eyes (2014) by Dave J — 17 Aug 2015
Some interesting tidbits on the art world and life in general via the 1960s, but this is more about human behavior. Pride and greed suffer humanity and in this case both of them are the culprit. Waltz plays a great con man whose greed has guided his whole life.
Adams plays the part of the docile housewife well, but its hard to feel sorry for a character who took money over credit for so many years and really didn't feel THAT terrible about it. Seeing her get her fame finally is nice, but something sour still lingers over the story itself.
