This and Gozu are perhaps the only Miike movies that I just don't get. While I enjoyed the movie for what it was, I had a hard time trying to figure out what was going on. As for this being a "love" story.
..there wasn't much of that to go on. But the art design was amazing and I loved how the warden's office was more of a cell than the prisoner's holding cells. I love Miike...even if I don't always get him.
