Review of Beyond the Rocks (1922) by Elizabeth S — 18 Mar 2009
While the prodigious accoutrements of Gloria Swanson prove to be somewhat distracting, a thoughtful story line of sacrifice, told with refreshingly simple scenario, is moving. However, the true splendor of this movie is the poignant milieu defined by the music of Henny Vrienten.
The masterful soundtrack truly adds depth to an ordinary yet engaging tale of romance.
