Review of Between Love & Goodbye (2009) by Sarah . — 20 Jun 2009

This movie started well. It has a great couple. But a sibling of one of them comes in a ruins everything. Honestly she/he was just one of those characters that is made to be hated. And I did hate them. They caused everything to spiral out of control. This movie made me very mad, to the point I was actually cursing at the screen. The ending I so desperately wanted to be happy. Even if that was a predictable way of ending it, I wanted it. I almost got it. Just as things looked as they might change for the good, it ended tragically.

I gave it three stars because the acting was mediocre, the characters however got to me. Although I HATED many of them, the point is they made me feel a strong emotion and if a movie can make me feel a strong emotion thats a good thing (even if that emotion is hatred and anger). The music was kinda campy and I liked some of it but one song especially was really dumb, including the words "Born Loser". So there was a lot of this movie that was annoying or dumb but in the end its not your traditional story. It doenst follow the expected storyline. And for that it gets appreciation from me - even if I did want to physically beat some of the characters.
