Review of Better Things (2008) by Charles H — 08 Jun 2009
This film was as bleak and pointless as the existence of its characters. Yes, the pacing drives-home the point that life in a small U.K. town is a hopeless, drawn-out, dead-end proposition; however, the way this movie drags also puts audiences to sleep.
On the plus side, the acting was above-average, and the camera work was beautiful.
