Review of Berberian Sound Studio (2012) by Hoddie C — 23 Mar 2013
Interesting premise for a suspense story from a sound engineers perspective working on a 70s Italio-schlock horror, sound work is amazing as are sets and setting captures the feel perfectly, all head nods to the right auteurs are there; Lynch, Cronenburg, Argento, etc.
Toby Jones gives a good turn but sadly the story which could go many places, could take some deft twists or turns; just doesn't and flails around into a non climax.
