This movie is garbage. If you try hard enough you'll be able to justify it's existence. There's nothing stylish about this movie at all. It's a boring pastiche that bears no reflection of the films it supposedly is a love letter to.

I'm all for films that leave a lot to the viewers imagination, after all it's true that your mind can conjure up images more terrifying that any that can be put on film. The problem with this film is that it offers absolutely no impetus for your imagination to kick in and do the heavy lifting (and boy does this movie need that).

I think most people read the synopsis and viewed the film through that looking glass. If you were to watch this film, as it is, without prior knowledge of the synopsis you'd see this for what it really is.

A boring, pointless piece of cinema that totally misses the mark.
