Review of Beowulf & Grendel (2005) by Alex N — 22 Jul 2007
An enjoyable film, but couldn't figure out whether it was meant to be a comedy, action film or horror. It's not funny, dramatic, or scary, so I'm not quite sure where it fits. I don't know if this had a theatrical release - I'd be surprised if it did.
It's very much a TV movie. The only funny part of the film is the fake muscles on Grendel, and the American whore living in Denmark - no attempt made to disguise accents here. The 13th Warrior was far better than this.
