This was a good take on a classic story. This version of Beowulf and Grendel is more set in the realistic world. The way they made this was not so supernatural but fear of the unknown. Grendel is just a disfigured giant man.
Beowulf is a leader and fighter who wants to bring peace to the people. The movie has many beautiful shots of the harsh land. A good cast was in this. This is a film Gerard Butler made well before 300.
You watch this and can see why he was cast later for 300. If you liked the Beowulf story and other movies made about it then give this a watch.
