A mere shadow of the 1959 classic. Benefits from modern-day CGI technology but that's about all. This movie didn't know what it was. From which Judean Mall did Judah and Esther get the designer jeans and boots? And as for the completely inappropriate music that accompanied the closing credits - completed ruined any period atmosphere that had struggled to be created in the previous 2 hours.
Left the cinema saying "WTF just happened??".
