Review of Ben-Hur (2016) by Ryan L — 20 Aug 2016

I loved this movie, I felt the cast did a great job, and the message was a needed one. I never saw the first one so I can't compare them but I felt they did a good job using 2 hours vs 3 or whatever the first one was.

I understand if people feel the original was better but this wasn't bad at all and adding more of Jesus' message was welcome to me. In a nation of division and turmoil we need that message. The ending resolved a bit quick considering the weight of the events carried throughout the movie but I thought it was worth seeing.
