Review of Ben-Hur (1959) by Adam W — 13 Oct 2009
Ben-Hur is one of the greatest movies of all-time. I went into this knowing only that it had a chariot race and that it was somewhat famous. It absolutely blew my mind away what they were able to do in 1959 with some of the special effects like the chariot race and the scenery.
Charlton Heston and Stephen Boyd did an amazing job, and really brought this movie together. The other aspect I enjoyed was how they incorporated the story of Jesus as a side story up until the end. One of those movies you need to watch sometime in your life.
