Review of Ben-Hur (1959) by Antonio T — 06 Dec 2015

If you love epic movies then, this is a film you must watch. This film is very epic in scope with a long running time and this movie swept the academy awards where it won 11 academy awards including best picture.

The chariot race is a thing of beauty. In my opinion the film kinds loses focus after the chariot race and this movie was a little bit too unnecessarily religious at times. However the fact that the film was about 3 and a half hours long and didn't bore me( I only got bored after the chariot race because I felt there was no need to tell the story of Jesus) deserves praise in itself.
