Review of Belle (2013) by Hermione W — 10 Sep 2013

Saw the world premiere in Toronto last weekend. Excellently done! As a lover of period dramas and a woman of colour, I've sort of been waiting for this movie my whole life. The costumes were beautiful, the chemistry between the two romantic leads and other main characters was palpable, and the film contained a very powerful message about equality and self-acceptance - without being heavy-handed, I think.

I can't wait until this comes out in theatres, because I'm going to go see it again!
