An uplifting, beautiful, and moving tale, based on the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle, a bi-racial woman brought up in privilege in London by her great-uncle, the Lord Chief Justice, in a pivotal moment in British history that set the ball rolling for the abolition of slavery in the country.
Some fascinating new faces (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) and some very familiar ones (Tom Wilkinson, Penelope Wilton) in the cast.
