Review of Belle (2013) by Angela Z — 19 May 2014
Unlike any costume drama I have ever seen and costume dramas are my jam! A must see!! The lead actress is beautiful and wonderful. Also, uses the social conventions of the time to critique Big Picture topics like classism and institutionalize racism, (slavery more specifically) in an effective way.
And it's a true story! It's still playing at Hillcrest. go now.
