Review of Bella (2006) by Danifesto G — 15 Feb 2010
Although the moral message came through, I didn't feel that it over-rode the main story. What kind of got lost was the beauty of the Latin culture and the family values inherent in that. Also I questioned how, in the space of a day, one can build the trust and connection that wasn't previously there.
The audience also doesn't get to see Nina's connection to the family previous to this day, although obviously they met her before. Over all a sweet movie and one I would recommend to my parents.
In a good way. :).
