Definitely not a big fan of the genre, but as a fan of cinema - a film with such acclaim is hard to ignore.
Deciding proceed with and watch this was amongst the best decisions I've made recently. This doesn't feel like watching a film. It feels like having the luxury of watching a very interesting event unfold in the lives of two very normal people with normal problems.
Script and screenplay is phenomenal, film holds your attention from start to finish. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy certainly had incredibly challenging roles, its not easy to independently carry the film but they pull it off sensationally. Left me longing to watch the next part. 4/5.
