Review of Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) by Avneesh M — 05 Apr 2014
Had to revisit it before watching the second one. Captain America : The First Avenger is a harmless Marvel entertainer that knows not to take itself too seriously. Well acted and paced, it never gets boring despite suffering from being predictable at times.
The action scenes are fun and the occasional one liner enjoyable. Hugo Weaving and Tommy Lee Jones are a good addition. The is decent and sticks to tried and tested formula's without experimenting or trying to do something out the ordinary.
An enjoyable watch but nothing more.
