Review of Before Night Falls (2000) by Beth G — 08 Jul 2007
I saw this movie several times while I was living in London. The story is hard to watch (it is both sad and funny in parts) but it has this poetic fell and grace to it. If AIDS had not cut Arenas life short how much more brilliant poetry would he have given to the world? This is a brave movie about persecution and the ideas of love and hope.
