Sad and heart-wrenching look into the life of Cuban poet Reinaldo Arenas played in perfection by Javier Bardem. Near unrecognizable parts by Sean Penn and Johnny Depp. This is beautifully told and beautifully filmed, but I felt it a little too long, a little too dwelling in several periods of his life depicted and at nearly 2.
5 hrs - it's felt...but over-all a beautiful film with excellent special features to savor as well - especially if a fan of Reinaldo's poetry.
