Review of Before Midnight (2013) by David L — 28 Apr 2014
Unexpectedly, surprisingly vulgar, with an unfortunate lack of romance or duo's intimate screen time and with a tone that is totally off to the point of a two movie feeling, Before Midnight is saved by still fantastic Delpy and Hawke, breathtaking cinematography and a couple of relevant scenes, but it nonetheless has characters that we all loved before become these very unsympathetic people that you do not even wanna watch and the conflict at the end seems forced and unnecessary which is all the more reason why this third film is such a humongous disappointment that unfortunately can't hold a candle to the franchise's two previous superb installments.
