Review of Becket (1964) by Travis T — 23 Jun 2010
The kind of movie that doesn't get made anymore - plenty of multi-layered dialogue, soliloquy, and resonant characters. While Burton is good as the title character, it's O'Toole's Henry II that makes this worth watching.
The only real negatives are that the movie does tend to drag a bit in the second half and the ending feels a bit anticlimactic. If you can watch an older movie, Becket should definitely be on your list.
