I really liked this (bashed by critics) fantasy flick. True, it's mannerist, but it's savvy about its descendance from a venerable movie history of the fable, and with its own style, with a scenery apparently reminiscent of miniatures sfx.

A breath of fresh air against dominant CGI design and Disney approach to classic (loved by bashing USA critics).
