This movie is exactly what the title and cover imply: the beautiful coming-of-age story of two boys falling in love. Except it is refreshingly devoid of the usual camp and glamor associated with gay movies.
Some subplots didn't make sense to me though, like one girl's obsession with Mama Cass Elliot...though it did give them an excuse to play some cool songs.
