Review of Beautiful Thing (1996) by Lee C — 08 Jan 2013
As a gay teen watching this aged 16, it showed that love is love, and comes from where you least expect. It does it with dignity and humor without distracting from the message that you can be who you are and be accepted for it, if anyone is writing a 'rom-com' take a look at this and see how realism can work.
The nervousness of the 2 lads is well acted and has a very natural feel to it, add to that a highly amusing support cast, the result is a movie every teenager should see.
