Review of Beatriz at Dinner (2017) by John W — 18 Jan 2018
This is a totally boring movie dominated by endless dialogue and an implausible ending. The movie is a lame attempt to dramatize how the wealthy treat others with a mixture of condescension, disdain and abuse.
. Salma Hayek is unconvincing in her role as the downtrodden and John Lithgow is tedious and dull in his role as the unrepentant and abusive capitalist.
