The movie was five years too late. Super edgy and pretentious. It should have been a contemporary of Slumdog Millionaire and should have beat it out. Kind of charming and enchanting and touching - blah blah blah.
And boring. I will say going into it I thought there was no way the child actor belonged in the Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain debate, but she does and was great. She was a bright spot in the movie.
And in all seriousness, the end was actually quite touching.
