'Beasts of No Nation' explores the loss of innocence of a young African boy named Agu. When civil war storms through his village, Agu becomes orphaned and lost in the bush. He's found then conscripted and brutally trained as a soldier in a rogue child army.

Idris Elba delivers an outstanding performance as the sadistic and charismatic Commandant. The film envelops us with its raw emotions and realistic savage violence. The story, told through Agu, takes the viewer on a immersive journey through the unimaginable horror and brutality of modern African jungle warfare.

A wonderful film that provides but a glimpse into the insanity of child soldiers and lost souls. Superb audio merges truncated dialogue, natural sounds and chanting music. distributed as an original Netflix movie, available in theaters and streaming.
