It was definitely too slow than required. A teenager without purpose is having a miserable summer. He escapes the bitterness of his life by causing trouble with his delinquent friends, constantly smoking weed and flirting with both men and women.
The actor does a good job with his performance as his character struggles a lot and never smiles. Unhappiness can really be a tough business.
