I must thank You Tube, to finally see a film I heard so much but had never seen. I have to keep reminidng me what they had to work with in the mid 1920's and by doing so I can really apprciate the vision of Eisenstein.
The more you see it, the more you see how many, even thousands of directors have copied on camera angles, building suspense etc. It is propbably on of the true greats that is rarelt shown, where today all I see is merchandised popcorn crap.
