Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by Joel A — 11 Oct 2014
Arguably one of the finest silent films & by far one of the most significant from Russia. This is truly a masterpiece that requires viewing from film lovers.
The story of a mutiny on the Potemkin Battleship that flooded onto the streets of Moscow under the Tzar ruling.
Directed to near perfection by Sergei Eisenstein with some unforgettable shots like the child in the pram going down steps with bullets flying by her & the peasant woman being shot from behind.
It's a challenging & important film to watch!!!!
