Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by Jae L — 27 Dec 2009
Film making landmark; still used in film schools. that being said, it takes some amount of patience to sit through it, even though it's relatively short. have to admit though, for what was being made in 1925, it's beyond solid.
p.s.: if citizen kane was renowned for it's special effects, not sure why this movie (and eisenstein) doesn't get more credit for its montages.
