Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by Steve M — 02 Oct 2010
One of the greatest films to come out of the silent era and foreign films. A film that is 85 years old and is still as powerfull, shocking, iconic and awe inspiring as when it still came out. The film also arguably helped to shape montage and general film making more than anyone other DW Griffith.
Eisenstein's film is beyond propaganda and is a masterpiece.
