Review of Battle Royale (2000) by Victor G — 28 Apr 2013
Violent, insightful and morbidly funny, "Battle Royale" is a sharp, still-relevant satire and one of the better films where man is pitted against man in a game of last man standing. What makes "Battle Royale" such an engaging ride is that a lot of the characters are ones that we grow to care about, which is a result of some great performances.
There's tons of blood, the soundtrack is partially dedicated to classical music and in the end, what you have is an entertaining cult classic.
