Review of Battle Royale (2000) by Imthenoob — 18 Mar 2019

I appreciate the original premise and good performances by the cast, Who really sell the situation that their characters are stuck in. However, It's not without its flaws. The pacing is inconsistent throughout and quite a few sections drag on a lot longer than they should have. The ending went from dramatic to annoyingly comedic and really threw off the tone the whole film built up towards. And the make-up effects certainly disappointed (such as a character getting shot but with no obvious bullet holes or wounds).

Overall, Not a bad film in the slightest and worth checking out but I'd stick with the books instead.
